DIY

Well, I've finally had to admit that the main Refuge shed is on it's last legs and will probably not last another winter in it's current condition. A new one, with a newly laid base area, will cost around £800 and we simply do not have the funds at the moment. I'm starting to do some fundraising towards it but for now I'm refining my DIY skills this weekend and repairing it myself.... actually, the term 'skills' is used rather loosely, I can use a saw and hammer but my work won't win any prizes at the Idea Home exhibition!
So this weekend is being spent cladding out the interior walls using scrap wood and bubblewrap for insulation, all of which have been salvaged from work (they normally end up in the skip). +1 for the environment as well as improving the Refuge!
...special prize for the person who correctly guesses how many extra bruises I end up with by the end of the weekend!
